Turrall Flies and Materials by Ewenny Angling Supplies LTD

about us

English Heritage

England is the birthplace of fly-fishing as a sport and Turrall is its longest serving Company of fly-dressers.

By 1863, the art of making artificial flies was well established in North Devon where, at Northbrook - close to the River Torridge - Col. Hugh Turrall founded the company which bears his name.

Finest Quality

The quality of Turrall fishing flies starts with their hooks. Made in England to the highest standards by a combination of traditional craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology; high carbon steel, short barbs, chemically-sharpened surgical points; triple coated for long life.

The flies are hand-tied using the finest materials including extra-strong polyester threads; Metz and other genetic hackles; and the full range of Turrall specialist fly-tying materials.

Manufacture, a far cry from the factory production-line concept, is based on individual dedicated craftsmen and women, all of them trained in Turrall's exclusive methods and each an expert in his or her own specialization.

Turrall has won The Sunday Times award and Country Living Magazine first prize for employment and business in rural Britain.

The company's packaging and designs have won a unique five awards at the European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition.
